Guardian Games 2022 is finally happening. This is a limited-time event in Destiny 2 that rewards players with medals for completing challenges and activities. The main objective of Guardian Games is to challenge guardians against one another to find which class wins. The winner class of Guardian Games gets bragging rights and a statue on display in the Tower for the whole year.

All guardians will be up to fight against one another in this 21-day event. Players will have to meet Eva Levante in the Tower to kick off the event. Newer players will have to complete the “Escape the Cosmodrome” quest to unlock the Tower which grants access to the Guardian Games Event. Players who don’t own the Witch Queen DLC will also be able to access this event.
Like last year, players will get access to the Guardian Games Playlist, where players can team up with class members to earn many points. There will be new challenges, triumphs, and quests to complete.
Guardian Games 2022 Start Date & Time
In their recent TWAB (This Week at Bungie), Bungie had confirmed that Guardian Games will be making a comeback on May 3 and will end on May 24.
The event will start obviously at the day reset. The event will also bring us at the end of Season 16.
Guardian Games Rewards 2022
The event is known for rewarding players with a lot of stuff; we have mentioned everything we know below.
Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun
Players will be able to acquire the Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun through a quest if they don’t have it. The Heir Apparent Catalyst has a chance to drop upon banking gold or platinum medals once the player obtains the gun.
It’s confirmed that we will be getting the above exotic, but we might get another exotic this time around.
Confirmed Shells
The above three exotic shells can be purchased from Eva Levante using Laurels.
Guardian Games 2022 Armor
This glowing armor set will be available from Eververse to purchase. Costs silver, which requires real money. This turns controversial every year, but they continue doing so.

Legendary Void SMG “The Title”
Last year guardians only had the Heir Apparent Exotic up for grabs. This time around, we are in luck, just when Void 3.0 is working so well, they’ve decided to give us another Void SMG. This might not be on par with Funnelweb, but the perks look decent for PvP and PvE.
The Title is an Aggressive Frame SMG; here are the possible perks.
Sparrows
Last year, the Color of Speed Sparrow was awarded on completion of the Word-Class Point Scorer Triumph. The triumph requirements were to earn class points. It is not confirmed yet that this will be making a comeback, but we know about a few new ones.

- Daily Bounties: Rewards XP
- Weekly Bounties: Rewards XP, Bright Dust, Glimmer and Laurels.
- Repeatable Bounties: Rewards XP and Bright Dust
According to the leaked banner image, players will be able to earn more rewards for individual high scores.
