The other day, I was trying to download the awesome Nirsoft package and got this warning on Chrome. It said that the “site ahead contains harmful programs” and that I shouldn’t continue. Of course, since I know Nirsoft and have been using its apps for a few years myself, I continued.
But, this page got me thinking about how many people will just click on Back to safety button because there is really no way to get past that warning on Chrome.
If you don’t know, Nirsoft is a collection of many simple Windows utilities which allow you to tinker with your computer easily.
You can download the applications from the main page of nirsoft.net. They are around 30 applications which are both simple and awesome. The package containing all these apps is called NirLauncher. Try them out.
The official page to download the NirLauncher is launcher.nirsoft.net. If you click on this link, you will get this warning that the site ahead contains harmful programs.
You can get past this warning by typing
badidea while on the page. So, whenever you get this red warning saying that the site contains harmful programs, just type b + a + d + i + d + e + a. Chrome will redirect itself to the page you were trying to visit.
Alternatively, you can also click on the Details button which will reveal an option to continue with the website. But that will include using the mouse and clicking two things. I think typing
badidea is faster and looks badass too!
