How To Complete Elder Rift Challenges & Rewards: Diablo Immortal

Last Updated on June 7, 2022

Diablo Immortal is a free-to-play MMORPG title by Blizzard and the newest addition to the Diablo series. Released on 2nd June 2022, the game managed to gain widespread popularity in a short span of time, but also found itself in the middle of some controversies as fans started calling out certain obvious elements about the game being “pay to win.”

Once you get started playing Diablo Immortal, you’ll come to know about the number of activities you can do in the game. Challenge Rifts are perhaps one of the most exciting activities that the players can do in Diablo Immortal. Similar to the Elder Rifts, completing the Challenge Rifts will reward you with some high-tier items alongside rare crafting materials.

However, Challenge Rifts aren’t unlocked in the game from the get-go, and players will have to play the game for a while before unlocking them. Here’s what you need to know about the Challenge Rifts in Diablo Immortal.

How to Unlock Challenge Rifts in Diablo Immortal

Upon reaching Westmark for the first time in Diablo Immortal, players will be able to unlock the Elder Rifts. Once the player has completed their first Elder Rift, they can continue the story by progressing to Dark Wood. Finishing the story in Dark Wood will then prompt the players to return to Westmark. Finally, players can then go to the Elder Rift entrance and unlock the Challenge Rift next to it.

Most players will have this unlocked by the time they reach levels 20-30.

How to Complete Challenge Rifts in Diablo Immortal

While starting Challenge Rifts, players can choose modifiers and the difficulty in which they want to do the Rift. Once these are set, players can press Enter to begin the Challenge Rift. Upon starting the dungeon, the objective will be displayed on the left side of the player’s screen. The bar below the objective can be filled up by defeating enemies in the dungeon. Once the bar is full, the Rift Guardian will appear. In order to complete the Challenge Rift, players have to beat the Rift Guardian before the timer runs out.

To sum it up, you have to take down enemies and defeat the final boss.

Once you’ve completed a difficulty for the Challenge Rift, you can then proceed to the next difficulty. Higher levels will grant the players better items and gear as rewards for completion.

Elder Rift Challenge Rewards

The main objective for completing this would be the rewards and experience. You also get a lot of loot that can be dismantled for crafting materials; we are all here for that.

Players can also increase the difficulty of the Dungeons by enhancing the Rift with a legendary or rare crest. This will offer better loot, and you can also get; Fading Embers and the coveted Legendary Gems.

That’s everything you need to know about the Challenge Rifts and how to complete them in Diablo Immortal.
