A Plague Tale Requiem – Save Game & Config File Location

Last Updated on October 23, 2022

Are you looking for the Save Game or Config Location for Plague Tale Requiem? Worry no more; this guide is for you.

Most of the Steam Games locations are pretty straightforward, but finding game files is a little tricky for Game Pass owners.

A Plague Tale Requiem – Save Game & Config File Location

Note: As usual, editing these files can risk losing or breaking things in-game. So make sure to always back up your files before making any changes.

Config Location

Steam: %APPDATA%\Roaming\A Plague Tale Requiem\ENGINESETTINGS

Game Pass: %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\A Plague Tale Requiem\ENGINESETTINGS

Players can change settings like Film Grain, Vignette, Color Grading, and Sharpen using the config file. Here’s a screenshot from the file:

Save Location

Steam: <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\752590\remote\

Game Pass: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\FocusHomeInteractiveSA.APlagueTaleRequiem-Windows_4hny5m903y3g0\SystemAppData\wgs\<user-id>

There can be multiple reasons why one would want to take a backup of their saves and config files. Modding is one of those reasons. The game is new, but I am sure that community mods or tweaks will act as a utility similar once modders get going.

Plague Tale is an action-adventure game set in the 14th century. The protagonist is Amicia, a young girl whose brother, Hugo, has been infected. The game follows Amicia as she tries to find a cure for Hugo while avoiding the horrors of the virus. Plague Tale is a unique game that combines elements of stealth and puzzle-solving. The player must use Amicia’s wits and agility to avoid guards and rats.

Most AAA titles have been a mess for years now; developers don’t fix issues before releasing a game. Plague Tale Requiem is filled with problems and bugs that players report on forums and support channels. I’ve written a guide to fix fps issues that players can check out.

The game is now available on PS5, PC, Xbox, and Steam.
