Red Dead Redemption 2: All 13 Legendary Fish Locations

There is a lot to do in Red Dead Redemption 2, completing missions, working on weapons, earning money, explore the open world and more.

In this guide, we will find out where to head to, for farming legendary fish in Red Dead Redemption 2.

What is Fish Used for?

  • Making Money – Vendors around the map will give you a good amount of money if you deliver fresh fish to them. This is a great source of making good amount of money.
  • Farming Crafting Materials – Materials are really important in this game. You will come across various things that will require crafting. You can acquire crafting materials in exchange for fish.

There are 13 Legendary fish in RDR2, all of them are found at different locations.

Tips Before Starting

  • Get the right fishing tools
  • Use Baits from General Good Stores – The baits and lures have the fish name written on them that they will attract. This is good for attracting a particular legendary fish.
  • Throw the fishing line as far as possible – while retracting it will cover a lot of areas when comparing to throwing it at a short distance.
  • Reel Only When Fish Stops Struggling – If you start reeling as soon as you catch the fish, there’s a chance that the wire will break.

All 13 Legendary Fish and Their Locations

Now that you’ve understood the ins and outs of fishing. Let’s get going and grab that rod to start fishing. There are 13 in total, so make sure you have a lot of time.

Note: Make sure you buy Special Lake Lure, Special River Lure, Special Swamp Lure from Lagras (Located on South of Bluewater Marsh). As mentioned in the tips above, these will be used as bait for getting the right fish easily.

As you can see in the maps, there is a mark for each fish. When you reach near the location where the fish is located, a fish symbol will appear, which means the fish is located nearby and you can hunt for it.

After obtaining all of these 13 legendary fish, Jeremy will send you an invite. This will be the invitation where he will ask you to meet him at his fishing hut. Once you are there, both the Hero and Jeremy will head to Rio Bravo to catch the Legendary Catfish.
