Destiny 2: How To Get Delicate Tomb Catalyst

Last Updated on August 25, 2022

Destiny 2 Season of the Plunder is here. The update is 8GB in size for PCs and brings a lot of changes for the guardians. This update also includes Arc 3.0 rework which was talked about a lot. In the coming days, there will be a massive number of builds and load-outs that streamers will speak about, terming it as the “next broken build”.

However, I am not going to talk about that today; this article will focus on getting your hands on the Delicate Tomb Catalyst in Season 18. Those who still haven’t got their hands on this fusion rifle yet can purchase the Season Pass to unlock it. If you’ve already bought the Season Pass, Press M, navigate to the Season 18 tab, and claim it.

How To Get Delicate Tomb Catalyst

Over the past few seasons, Bungie has always offered a catalyst for the Season Pass exotic. To get the Catalyst, you first have to obtain the exotic; once you have it navigate to the Tower and head to Banshee-44. He will give you a three-step quest (The Form of the Danger) that you have to complete to unlock the Catalyst.

Here are the quest steps:

Step 1:

Defeat targets with Energy slot weapons and defeat challenging combatants.

  • Targets defeated with Special Ammo 0/50
  • Challenging Combatants Defeated

Step 2:

  • Complete Vanguard Activities, Gambit, and Crucible Matches and defeat targets using the Delicate Tomb. Higher tier activities provide additional progress.

Step 3:

  • Return to Banshee-44 to collect your Catalyst.

Once you have obtained the Catalyst, you will have to equip it. Now to fully masterwork your weapon, you have to defeat 700 targets using the weapon. This might take a while. The best location to level this up would be the Grasp of Avarice starting level.

What is the Catalyst useful for?

In Destiny 2, almost every exotic weapon has a catalyst, providing special modifiers once applied. When a catalyst is first found, it will be incomplete and must be infused with kills in order to unlock it. Each Catalyst has its own specific requirements, but once completed, they will provide a boost to the weapon’s stats.

In addition, Catalysts can also confer special perks, such as increased reload speed or increased damage output. For example; The Delicate Tomb Catalyst unlocks the following perk:

  • Ionic Interment: Collecting an Ionic Trace partially reloads the magazine from reserves.

That’s how you can get and unlock the Delicate Tomb Catalyst. Do let me know using the comments section below if you have any questions 🙂
