How To Farm Mindbender’s Ambition in Destiny 2, Best PvP Rolls

Last Updated on January 15, 2022

Mindbender’s Ambition sits on top of the list for the best PvP shotguns in Destiny 2. For me, it’s the most consistent one-hit elimination shotgun, it either kills or trades. Not only that, it’s one of the most beautifully crafted weapons in the game, the weapon also lights up after eliminations.

Mindbender’s Ambition Stats

  • Fire Rate: 55 RPM
  • Magazine: 5
  • Recoil: 69
  • Aim Assist: 39
  • Impact: 80

These perks can vary with rolls. Only the curated roll is fixed.

I recently tried this shotgun in the crucible it worked really well still. However, in trials I got steamrolled by the other godly shotguns.

  • Rifled Barrel
  • Steady Rounds
  • Opening Shot
  • Rampage

The curated roll is pretty meh. It would have been good if they didn’t add steady rounds that actually takes away the 5 range. Stability on shotguns is useless.

Mindbender’s Ambition Best PvP God Rolls

PvP God Roll 1

  • Full Choke
  • Accurized Rounds
  • Slideshot
  • Quickdraw
  • Range Masterwork

PvP God Roll 2

  • Full Choke
  • Accurized Rounds
  • Snapshot Sights
  • Quickdraw
  • Range Masterwork

Full Choke is comparatively better than Rifled barrel and this has been proven multiple times. Accurized rounds will give you +10 range, Slideshot will refill your magazine on slides, Quickdraw for shotgun apes and range masterwork for that obvious range.

The god rolls can vary according to your liking. These are the ones I use and like.

How To Farm Mindbender’s Ambition in Destiny 2

The shotgun is obtained and farmed from the Nightfall called Hollowed Lair. Earlier the nightfall requirement was low, this has been boosted to the minimum requirement of 820. The nightfall has to be in rotation for you to be able to farm the weapon. Click on Vanguard > Nightfall to find out what nightfalls are in for this week. You can also view the weekly reset page for this information.

There are several problems with this nightfall. First, it takes weeks to come into rotation. Second, the fastest you can do it with the right team is around 7-8 minutes. The boss is really annoying and has way too many immunity phases. After all that, you get a roll that you don’t want. The drop rate is abysmally low, I was able to get one after completing 8 nightfalls.
