How To Get MIRV/Recurring Hex Grenade – Borderlands 3

Last Updated on October 17, 2019

Looking to build the right Moze Invincible God? – Then, this grenade is a must-have for you. In this article, we’ll find out the reliable sources for obtaining this legendary grenade mod.

As you might already know, the Recurring Hex grenade mod is a must-have for Moze. Once fully leveled up, use the Recurring Hex, combine it with The Transformer shield and you’ll become invincible with unlimited grenades. This ability has been toned down a bit with the recent nerfs, but thanks to the multiplying MIRV grenades, you won’t feel a thing. Also, the delay is a mere second, which should happen in continuation of your grenade dealing damage and healing you constantly.

There are four types of Hex grenades; Hex, MIRV Hex, MIRV-Tacular Hex, and Recurring Hex. Only MIRV ones are useful since they split into multiple grenades, this pairs well with Moze’s capability to heal and continue doing damage on crits. On top of that, all your grenades get refunded.

How To Farm Recurring MIRV Hex in Borderlands 3

Red Text: Keeper of the stars. I hope to never find..

The Recurring Hex/Mirv Hex can drop for any enemy in the world, it’s a world drop. Your chances might be even higher if you try farming for legendary mods in Mayhem 2-3. I tried finding the exact location for farming this particular grenade mod, but had a hard time even after looking on Reddit and the Borderlands forums.

Farm Graveward

None of the enemies in the game has a higher chance of dropping this grenade mod so we’ll head to Graveward to farm for legendary loot. I got my drop from this particular boss, the chances are slim since the boss can drop any legendary in the game or no legendary whatsoever. Since there’s no enemy in the game that guarantees this drop, I’ll recommend you to farm this particular boss.

Farm Chupacabratch Mini-Boss

Another great place to farm for legendaries is the Chupacabratch mini-boss. If you’ve played the storyline already, I am pretty sure you’ve encountered this boss at some point. Chupacabratch is located on Athenas in the Cemetry near the Brewery.

The boss is really easy to take down, just take a powerful gun such as The Butcher and melt him. Reload map and repeat, keep doing this until you get what you want.

Farm Loot Tinks

Loot tinks are a great way of farming legendaries, I myself was able to obtain many legendaries when I started. However, the efficiency has been toned down after the nerfs made by Gearbox.

There’s a workaround though, just load the game in offline mode and you’ll have the same pre-nerf efficiency. Many people don’t know about this, but the game works exactly fine in offline mode.
