The Legendary Transformer shield is one of the best shields in the game, it offers 100% electricity resistance and converts 100% of electric damage to shields. Me being a Moze main, this shield is the most important element of my build, just throw around grenades and enjoy invincibility. This got effected a bit by the recent nerf to the moze’s ability, now there’s a cooldown in place for the shield restoration, but that doesn’t affect much if you have the MIRV grenade (grenade that splits into more grenades).
In this guide, we’ll find out how we can farm the Legendary Transformer Shield in Borderlands 3.
Farm Transformer Shield – Borderlands 3

There’s more than your eye can see – Converts 100% of shock damage into shields.
Side Quest It’s Alive
Method 1 – This legendary is a world drop and can drop from any enemy, I got mine from the Mayhem chest. However, this one has a chance to drop from a side quest called “It’s Alive“. The robot called sparrow will give you this quest, upon the completion of Homeopathological, which is another side-quest. This quest is actually quite long and might take some time, so I’d recommend you to take a cup of coffee to keep going. There are walkthroughs on YouTube for the same if you find issues while completing it.
Let’s proceed to the second method for farming the Transformer Shield in Borderlands 3
Farming Chupacabratch in Athena

Method 2 – Another way to get it is by farming the mini-boss in Athena called Chupacabratch. The drop rates are higher in Mayhem and even higher when in TVHM mode. The boss is really easy to take down, just take a powerful gun such as The Butcher and melt him. Reload map and repeat, keep doing this until you get what you want.
Farm Graveward for Legendary Loot
This boss is one of my favorites for farming legendaries, with the right Moze and FL4k builds, you can take down this boss with ease. The boss can drop any legendary in the game, but since there are no guarantees of farming this particular gun we’d recommend you to head to this boss. As mentioned earlier, if you’re playing in TVHM mode, you shouldn’t have trouble farming legendaries.
Happy Farming and Good luck obtain that legendary loot, the Rare Spawn Hunt week is on, the drop rates are increased. This should help you a lot.
