Modern Warfare 2: How To Disable Motion Blur

Motion Blur is the most useless graphic setting developers give us. While playing the campaign, I noticed that the motion blur is enabled by default. This is the guide for those who don’t know how to disable it.

Some video games offer a motion blur setting to make the game look more realistic. This setting makes the game look like it is moving faster than it is. Some people like this setting because it makes the game look more exciting. Others think it makes the game look sloppy and should not be turned on.

How To Disable Motion Blur in MW2

Before making changes to any setting, ensure your game is not running in safe mode. Whenever the game shuts down abruptly, it prompts you to use safe mode.

Here is how you can Disable Motion Blur in COD MW2:

  • Press F3 > Select Quality
  • Scroll down to the end and turn off “World Motion Blur” and “Weapon Motion Blur.”

While this setting might make sense for you in the story mode, you should disable it entirely in multiplayer, as it puts you at a disadvantage. It is one of the first settings that I disable as soon as I launch a new game.

Every year, millions of gamers eagerly await the release of the latest Call of Duty game. For many, it is the most anticipated event of the year. Vanguard was a good attempt, but it didn’t do well. This can’t be said for Modern Warfare 2, as the game looks refreshing in terms of visuals and gunplay. The campaign was a masterpiece, and I can’t wait to find out what they have for us next!
