How To Get Rowan’s Call Assault Rifle – Borderlands 3

Last Updated on October 14, 2019

There’s no denying that there are way too many weapons in Borderlands 3, finding the right one is a task. At first, I was overwhelmed with every drop I was getting, finding a weapon suitable for my playstyle was difficult. I like to play aggressive, throw my Mirv grenades and stay invincible.

To help you guys we have already created guides on farming Cutsman SMG, Butcher Shotgun and a few more. Today’s article will focus on getting the Rowan’s Call legendary assault rifle, it’s stats, damage and best place to obtain it.

Whenever you shoot the weapon, critical hits will return two bullets back to your magazine, and two bullets will ricochet to nearby enemies. So effectively, you will have infinite ammo, which makes it easily an end-game weapon. The weapon’s manufacturer is Jakobs, their weapons are the best, even after the recent nerf.

Rowan’s call can roll three elements; Incendiary, Shock and Radiation. The one I got was Incendiary, and the thing is nasty, I take it to almost all of my missions.

Rowan’s Call Stats

  • Type: Assault Rifle
  • Brand: Jakobs
  • Rarity: Legendary
  • Item Score: 551
  • Damage: 577
  • Level Required: 50
  • Reload Time: 3.1s
  • Zoom: 6.5x

How To Farm Rowan’s Call in Borderlands 3

The Rowan’s Call assault rifle is a world drop. What that means is; that it can drop from any enemy in the game, gambling slot machines, farming chests, and opening Jakobs chests.

Your chances might be even higher if you try farming for legendaries in Mayhem 2-3. I tried finding the exact location for farming this particular legendary but had a hard time even after looking at Reddit and the Borderlands forums. Let’s look for relevant sources from where we can obtain this rifle, below are your options.

Farming Graveward for Legendary Loot

This boss is one of my favorites for farming legendaries, with the right Moze and FL4k builds, you can take down this boss with ease. The boss can drop any legendary in the game, but since there are no guarantees of farming this particular gun we’d recommend you to head to this boss. As mentioned earlier, if you’re playing in TVHM mode, you shouldn’t have trouble farming legendaries.

Farm Chupacabratch Mini-Boss

Another great place to farm for legendaries is the Chupacabratch mini-boss. If you’ve played the storyline already, I am pretty sure you’ve encountered this boss at some point. Chupacabratch is located on Athenas in the Cemetry near the Brewery.

The boss is really easy to take down, just take a powerful gun such as The Butcher and melt him. Reload map and repeat, keep doing this until you get what you want.

Farm Loot Tinks

Loot tinks are a great way of farming legendaries, I myself was able to obtain many legendaries when I started. However, the efficiency has been toned down after the nerfs made by Gearbox.

There’s a workaround though, just load the game in offline mode and you’ll have the same pre-nerf efficiency. Many people don’t know about this, but the game works exactly fine in offline mode.

Duplicate Legendaries

I was not lucky enough to get this gun for myself, so I had to use a friend. What the trick is, you need to disable cloud-saving for Borderlands 3. Make a duplicate of your borderlands 3 save file and load into the game and drop the gun for one of your buddies. After that quit the game and replace the save file with the old one. This way you both have Rowan’s call.

The only downside to this method is that you are removing the only fun element of the game, farming and getting that meaty loot.

That is all on obtaining Rowan’s Call in Borderlands 3. We hope our guide helped you out.
