Cyberpunk 2077 – PS5/PS4 Stuck on Tutorial, R3 Button Not Working

Last Updated on December 10, 2020

Multiple users on forums have reported that they are facing a weird issue where they can’t progress after the tutorial in Cyberpunk 2077. This is happening mainly due to the game not registering the R3 button’s commands.

This is a weird bug and will create problems for many, the main frustration being this happening during a tutorial. Similar to every AAA title, this game is not free from problems. Initial reviews and impressions have detailed that there are issues in the game, bugs, and weird things that we’ll report as we’ll find out. Problems aren’t exactly new for AAA titles, problems are known to arise since developers can’t test the games on a huge set of machines. The configuration of every PC is so different that the developers cannot actually test everything. That’s why developers take reports and push patches in the following days.

Fix PS5/PS4 Stuck on Tutorial, R3 Button Not Working

The only workaround for this at the moment is skipping the tutorial completely. If for some reason you entered the third tutorial part then you won’t be able to quit. Start a new game or you will have to wait until CD Projekt Red pushes a patch.

We’ve already written guides on fixing issues such as Black Screen on Startup, Lag Fix, Freezing and Stuttering.
