Best Warlock Void 3.0 Build for PvE & PvP – Destiny 2 Witch Queen

Last Updated on June 23, 2022

Best Warlock Void 3.0 Build – One of the major points of Destiny 2 Witch Queen was the Void Rework, also called Void 3.0. The modifications to the subclass now make it similar to the last DLC’s stasis; by using Aspects and Fragments for builds.

Statis broke a lot of the crucible last year, but updates and patches were brought to bring it back to balance. I still haven’t played a lot of crucible myself to figure out what the state is like. The same might happen with Void 3.0.

For now, we have only scratched the surface for what we can do with the Void builds. The ability, grenade and even the healing rift’s void soul are amazing and help so much in fights. This contradicts the previous nerfs that Bungie did to the abilities, and I feel the damage might get toned down in future updates. Until then, we can continue to enjoy dealing damage and taking down yellow bar enemies instantly.

Best Warlock Void 3.0 Build for PvE (Gambit, Strikes & Raid)

  • Super: Nova Bomb (Vortex)
  • Class Ability: Empowering Rift
  • Melee Ability: Pocket Singularity
  • Grenade: Axion Bolt (This grenade is the best since it follows enemies and triggers devour)
  • Void Aspect Slot 1: Chaos Accelerant
  • Void Aspect Slot 2: Feed The Void
  • Fragment #1: Echo of Expulsion (Void ability final blows cause targets to explode)
  • Fragment #2: Echo of Remnants (Your lingering grenade effects (Vortex Grenade, Void Wall, Void Spike, and Axion Bolt) have increased duration.)
  • Fragment #3: Echo of Undermining (Your Void grenades weaken targets.)
  • Exotic Armor: Contraverse Hold (with Elemental Ordnance)
  • Armor Mod: 2x Ashes to Assets

Optional But, Game Changer: The Secant Filaments (Warlock Exotic Boots) – Casting an empowering rift will grant the player Devour. Damage dealt by the player and their allies from within the players’ empowering rift will disrupt combatants.

For this build to work correctly, you need a void energy weapon. I chose the Funnel-web, as that’s the new SMG that deals insane damage. If you can find the right build, you are set for end-game content. You can read more about it here.

Understanding this build: Once you have the right build, you will only need kills to keep on triggering Void Devour. Hitting enemies with your charged grenade will keep on triggering devour and you will get your grenade energy back, thanks to Contraverse Hold. This will keep on refilling your grenade and super energy consistently. From some of the tests I had done, you can get your super within 10 seconds if you have enemies around.

Best Warlock Void 3.0 Build for PvP (Crucible & Trials)

  • Weapon: Monte Carlo
  • Super: Nova Bomb (Vortex)
  • Class Ability: Healing Rift
  • Melee Ability: Pocket Singularity
  • Grenade: Axion Bolt
  • Void Aspect Slot 1: Child of Old Gods
  • Void Aspect Slot 2: Chaos Accelerant
  • Fragment #1: Echo of Remnants (Your lingering grenade effects (Vortex Grenade, Void Wall, Void Spike, and Axion Bolt) have increased duration.)
  • Fragment #2: Echo of Undermining (Your Void grenades weaken targets.)
  • Fragment #3: Echo of Expulsion (Void ability final blows cause targets to explode)
  • Exotic Armor: Claws of Ahamkara
  • Armor Mod: 2x Ashes to Assets

Understanding this build: This build mostly focuses on controlling the areas on a map. You shoot enemies and the pocket singularity will follow them. You can charge your grenades and throw them dealing a good amount of damage. Thanks to the usage of Monte Carlo you get your melee back very fast. With Claws of Ahamkara, you get two melee charges. You can just run around and spam ability.

You can switch weapons and use other weapons too but the melee energy that Monte Carlo returns is very nice.

These were the two builds that I have tested and feel like are the best. Thanks to Void 3.0, we can finally do something other than just switching our nades and stuff. We might get more builds in the coming months too. I am keeping an eye out on the nerfs since too many people are posting videos about taking enemies down quickly or completing legendary difficulty missions solo.

You can also check out builds for Hunter and Titan.

Please keep in mind that I will add or change builds as I find more about Void 3.0. If you have a better build, please comment below and I’ll be happy to add it here.
