Season of the Haunted Armor, Weapons & Loot Pool – Destiny 2 [Season 17]

Last Updated on May 27, 2022

Season of the Haunted Armor & Weapons – Almost three months have passed since the release of Witch Queen. Time does fly, Season 17 is just around the corner, and we’ll be seeing more details and leaks. Witch Queen was arguably one of Bungie’s DLCs ever created; Forsaken was number one on my list before this.

The Calus’s Pyramid Ship is also making a comeback somewhere on the Moon.

Notable Changes for Season 17:

  • Solar 3.0 for Warlock, Hunter, and Titan
  • Nerfs and Buffs to Abilities and Exotics
  • Palindrome getting sunset
  • Leviathan’s Return: The object of Calus’s desire has taken many shapes over the years. His once-opulent ship, now derelict and corrupted, has returned to our galaxy—its sights set on the Pyramid ship lying dormant on the Moon.

We finally have more details on what the Seasonal Armor for Season of the Haunted will look like.

Weapons

These are the new weapons we’ll see in Season of the Haunted.

Ritual Weapon

The Ritual Weapon for Season 17 will be the Heavy Machine Gun called Chain of Command. This will be similar to how you were rewarded Reckless Endangerment in Season 16. Consecutive vendor resets will award unique weapon ornaments depending on the vendor.

Ever since the Thunderlord and Hammerhead meta, Machine Guns have been left in the dust. Chain of Command is coming right in time. According to one of Bungie’s recent TWAB, they are buffing machine guns (+40% buff against enemies and +20% against bosses).

Let’s find out what weapons we are getting in Season 17.

Trespasser Exotic Sidearm

The exotic sidearm from Destiny is making a return. This will be available via the Destiny 2 Season Pass.

Legendary Weapons

29 weapons were added with the Season of the Haunted update. Here’s the list of all of them:

The above image shows the Beloved Sniper Rifle, Calus Mini Tool, Austringer Hand Cannon, and Drang Mini tool. I’m curious what perks they’ll offer for random rolls on the Drang and Minitool. Also wondering if old ornaments will still work on the reprised versions of the older weapons.

Austringer is finally making a comeback; it was one of the best and community favorite hand cannons. It used to excel in both PvP and PvE.

Season of the Haunted Armor

We finally have more details on what the Seasonal Armor for Season of the Haunted is going to look like.

This armor is giving Dark Souls vibes. The armor displayed above can be obtained from the Season Pass.

That is all the information we currently have on Season of the Haunted. The most exciting part would be the introduction of Solar 3.0. Are you excited?
